John Egan, Neighbor

A resident of Austin since 1999, John Egan has 30 years of experience in journalism, brand journalism, content marketing, blogging, communications and public relations. He is editor in chief at Austin startup LawnStarter, which helps homeowners manage their lawn care and lawn care professionals manage their businesses. He previously was editor in chief at SpareFoot and Bankrate Insurance. From 1999 to 2006, John was editor and managing editor of the Austin Business Journal. A native of Kansas, John earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Kansas and is pursuing a master's degree in marketing from Southern New Hampshire University.
