Wear your favorite Cinderella costume to add to this magical experience. Join neighbors of all ages as they gather to Color a Community of Kindness, Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in The Village Grosse Pointe. This creative art experience that encourages everyone to Spread Kindness is a collaborative partnership with Grosse Pointe Theatre, Posterity Gallery, and Main Street Grosse Pointe. 
This kindness event was inspired by the character Cinderella in Grosse Pointe Theatre’s upcoming production of Rodgers &amp; Hammerstein’s Cinderella, playing June 5-21 at the Schaap Center.
Cinderella’s courage, resilience, hope and kindness demonstrates that everyone has the power to make a difference by being kind.
WHAT:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Color a Community of Kindness This partnership with Grosse Pointe Theatre, Posterity Gallery, and Main Street Grosse Pointe, is a free event to encourage kindness.
WHEN:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Rain or Shine.)
WHERE:&nbsp; &nbsp; The Village Grosse Pointe, St. Clair and Kercheval streets.
WHY:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;To bring communities together to Spread Kindness and create a meaningful experience through the creation of a whimsical Cinderella-themed mural that will be displayed in The Village; coloring Kindness Cards that will be shared with Make-A-Wish Michigan for children battling serious illnesses; and sharing a thoughtful message on mini Kindness Pass-It-On Cards.
 WHO:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Participants of all ages are welcome. Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character from Cinderella to add to this magical experience.
REGISTER:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Sign up to reserve a time slot to participate in the mural art project for a chance to win a Family-Four Pack of tickets to see Grosse Pointe Theatre’s production of Rodgers &amp; Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Opera de Metro's second season concludes with an English-language presentation of Mozart's iconic comic opera, The Marriage of Figaro. Join us May 30th at 7pm and 31st at 3pm at Christ Church Grosse Pointe for a show filled with mistaken identities, quick wit, and unforgettable music. This timeless opera follows one chaotic day of love, jealousy, and clever schemes as Figaro and Susanna outsmart their employer in pursuit of their happily every after.
