Angela's House, Neighbor

Angela’s House is a 501 C3 non-profit organization that assists families caring for children with special health care needs that are medically fragile, chronically ill or suffering from a life threatening condition. Our mission is to help coordinate the complex array of home care services needed to support children living at home with their parents. This may includes services such as: medical equipment, nursing support, therapies, medications and theirs homes made handicapped accessible. We work with over 600 children that live at home with their parents in the community.

Angela’s House also operates three special homes for medically fragile children (located in East Moriches, Smithtown and Stony Brook). The children who live here are cared for in a warm, loving home environment that is suited to accommodate their complex physical and medical needs. These homes are fully equipped with medical supplies and 24 hour nursing to care for these frail children that can no longer live at home or were living in the hospital. These three homes are the first of their kind in New York State. Our Stony Brook home cares for children that require ventilator care to assist them with breathing.
