Free spirit who love to read and spend quality time with friends and family. Always up for challenges and make productive use of my time. Devoted my life for as my mother had a colon cancer and she had to go through this surgery. The election is coming up this year and after all the craziness I have seen with pandemic I am a we bit worried about the future. There is so much madness going on and I am really happy that things are getting back to normal. But I am very happy to be able to say I am prepared for what may come.

Living through the first part of 2020 was a shocking blow to what I believed was the American Economy. I saw things that I never thought that I would and it made me think that I needed to make some changes in my own life. I was happy to believe that all the things I take for granted would be there forever. In reality, the United States Economy is very fickle and can literally stop working in a moment's notice. So the question is really, do you have enough ostomy gear to get through it all again if it does stop working?

This is a hard question to ask because we are all in different situations and locations. I know many people who had zero issues with supply and demand at all. They have lived happily getting orders and have really been living life as normal I hope that situation never changes. I hope our economy stays working and does not slow down at all. It is not a certain thing though because not everyone was so lucky during the pandemic lockdowns. Some major cities went up in flames and local stores along with them. This left some people in different situations.

It is truly hard to get ostomy gear when deliveries in the mail stop. It is also more complicated when your local big box stores and pharmacies are burned and looted. That was something I never thought I would see in my lifetime. I was not around during the Rodney King riots but everyone is saying this is something far worse. Many places were simply not getting trucks to deliver goods due to violence. This left people who count on clean and sanitary ostomy gear in a bind. Now, normally we get shipments in to last a few weeks or a month. But when those end and your month is up most of us live on just in time delivery. That is how the majority of the market works. When something breaks down in the chain of delivery. then we start to get in trouble. That is when I begin to fear for those who need ostomy gear. So my thought is this. We need backups.

I take backups all the time. On a flight, I have a carry-on and all my <a href="https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/colostomy">ostomy</a>

gear doubled up in my luggage. So why not have it for life as well. This is all I am really saying. I think we should prepare for a month of no supplies and be safe and ready just in case it happens again. It is not too much to ask to save up enough to be prepared in case our economy has issues on the second round of pandemic or a mix or riots. I think that my body works less when I don't have that to worry about. To me, a little extra gear is a big safety help and a wise thing to have.

Did I write too much in my bio? i guess thats how I am when I am writing....
