Connecticut Stage Company presents Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning rock musical "Next to Normal" on May 2 at 7pm and May 3 at 2pm. With an electrifying pop/rock score and an honest, gut-wrenching script, "Next to Normal" explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness.
Dad's an architect; Mom rushes to pack lunches and pour cereal; their daughter and son are bright, wise-cracking teens, appearing to be a typical American family. And yet their lives are anything but normal because the mother has been battling bipolar disorder for 16 years. Next to Normal takes audiences into the minds and hearts of each character, presenting their family's story with love, sympathy and heart."Next to Normal"&nbsp;is led by 2 Tony Nominated Broadway stars Elizabeth Stanley and A.J. Shively, along with Broadway stars Gabe Carrubba,&nbsp; Ethan Riordan, Gianni Palmarini and Eric Chambliss.Saturday night's performance is followed by an exclusive talkback with "Next to Normal"&nbsp;composer Tom KittTickets available on our website. Joshua Bell returns with Larisa Martínez to present Voice and the Violin, exploring repertoire from classical and opera to musical theater and selections by Puerto Rican and Spanish composers. 
Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell is among the most celebrated artists of his era, having performed with virtually every major orchestra in the world. Opera singer Larisa Martínez has graced many of the world’s top opera and concert stages.

The KEYS&nbsp;Trio is a dynamic ensemble that includes piano, cello and violin played respectively by Jenny Ong, Madeleine Corliss and Corinne Metter. All the players in the group are on the faculty of the KEYS music program in Bridgeport and all have varied and rich performance careers.<a href="https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83898278015?pwd=dzb5ppkJndrp9usqrp9hynmUVkQxfo.1" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a>
The upcoming performance is a fundraiser for KEYS and will be the 5th concert for this group at the church.The program will include music by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Delibes and some surprises, as well.The funds from the concert will be used to continue KEYS' vision to transform the lives of underserved children through music education. KEYS programs include one-to-one instrument and group lessons in Bridgeport taught by a faculty of over 30 music educators in 24 Bridgeport schools. Students learn life skills, such as preparation, patience, collaboration, and respect through the discipline of learning music and participation in ensembles. All in-school, after-school, and weekend lessons, lesson space, and instruments are provided free of charge to students.Suggested donation $20. For more information, call Rob Silvan (203) 610-1597.

Our flat, 5K course runs through Mill River Park and Downtown Stamford and is open to the public.
