Did you know Palo Alto City Library’s eLibrary is always open? You can&nbsp;enjoy 24/7 access to ebooks, audiobooks, movies, music and more by&nbsp;learning to take advantage of the digital library resources available to&nbsp;you with your PACL library card.



In this first Digital Library&nbsp;101 workshop, you will learn how to use the two primary apps we offer&nbsp;for ebooks and audiobooks-Libby and Hoopla. You will learn how to&nbsp;download the apps, log in with your library card and start searching for&nbsp;and borrowing materials. We will also explore some of the other digital&nbsp;libraries available like Comics Plus and Enki.





This is an&nbsp;interactive program. There will be a follow along demonstration of these&nbsp;resources and time at the end for questions and troubleshooting. To get&nbsp;the most out of this program, please bring your personal device fully&nbsp;charged and your active library card.

Join the City of Palo Alto’s Zero-Waste Department for an engaging 
and practical talk on how our community is working toward a cleaner, 
more sustainable future—and how you can be part of it.
You’ll learn how Palo Alto&nbsp;is working to conserve resources through 
responsible production, consumption, reuse, and recovery.&nbsp;This talk will
 introduce attendees to the concept of “zero waste” as a circular 
system—where materials are never simply discarded, but continuously 
reused, repurposed, or reintegrated into production. In this model, 
waste is designed out entirely, and all materials are treated as 
valuable resources rather than disposable items.
This session will empower residents to reduce waste at home. From 
smarter purchasing decisions and minimizing single-use items to 
improving sorting habits and embracing reuse, attendees will leave with 
practical strategies that make a real impact.
If you’ve ever wondered how your everyday choices connect to larger 
climate goals—or how you can contribute to a zero-waste future—this talk
 is for you. Come be part of Palo Alto’s journey toward sustainability

Learn how to lower expenses and reduce pollution with electric homes and cars.
The Electrify Your Life Fair is for anyone who wants to save money and cut down on pollution at home and in the community. Join to learn how to switch from gas cars and home appliances to clean, electric options.
Activities include:
<ul><li>EV Ride and Drive: Take live test drives in electric vehicles (EVs). To test drive, register here to reserve a time slot for YOUR test drive or ride! Reserving ONE time slot allows you to test drive and test ride more than one car during that time slot. Availability of vehicles is dependent on the number of attendees. Read below for more details.</li><li>EV Display Area: See different EV models and ask owners about their experiences.</li><li>Electric Home Experts: Learn about heat pumps, induction stoves and other electric appliances.</li><li>Rebate Information: Find out about programs rebates that can help you save.</li></ul>
Please note: If you are not participating in the EV Ride and Drive activity, you do not need to register for the event. You can walk in!
Additional EV Ride and Drive Activity Information:
Go to the registration booth upon arrival, present your license, fill out a form and wait for your turn!
Following your test drive, complete the post-survey and receive a food voucher for the on-site complimentary taco/burrito food truck. Complete the scavenger hunt with the static vehicles and enter for a chance to win a gift card!
<ul><li>Note: Drivers must be at least 21 years of age. Those under 21 can be riders. If attendees are the age/weight for a car seat, attendees must be brought to the event.</li><li>Walk-ins are welcome.</li></ul>
