Katie Bartlett, Neighbor

Hello!

My name is Katie Bartlett and I am currently a Senior attending Foothill High School. I am very active in competitive dancing, but also share a passion for writing and journalism. I am still enthusiatically waiting to hear from colleges so that I can go on to be a Journalism Major and hopefully one day fulfill my dream of working in a high-fashion magazine as an editor.

In additon, I am active in a community service youth group called The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls where I was elected Worthy Advisor and helped to conduct meetings and plan fundrasing events for statewide budget projects which contributed to organizations such as The Bay Area Crisis Nursery and The American Heart Association. This year in school, I was provided with the opoortunity to participate as a ROP Nursing Student at Valley Care hospital, where I shadow nurses and involve myself in select hands-on duties. The experience so far is amazing and I am enjoying every minute of it.  Above all, family and friends are my life as i enjoy my close relationships with my two older brothers as well as my mom and dad. I strive to get the  most out of every opportunity that is presented to me and am  never afraid to start something new.
