Katy Jackson, Neighbor

My husband, David, and I are Pottstown "transplants" hailing from our native homeland, Colorado.  We have seen, first hand, how small historical towns in Colorado have revitalized with the ARTS, ultimately becoming ARTS destinations.   Rife with arts, culture, cafe's, fine dining, galleries, bed and breakfasts, jobs, music, celebrations and festivals, Salida ,Colorado exemplifies the potential that we believe can be realized in Pottstown.   Once a nearly abandoned, high mountain railroad town, Salida, today, is teeming with life and rich experiences.  Like Pottstown, there is a river that runs along one side of the downtown area which has become a focal point for recreation and many fun celebrations.

I like to stay current on Arts Revitalizaion news in towns and cities nationwide. We believe Pottstown can and will become a viable location for investors and individuals who possess a vision for what we can be.

I have had a life long passion for historic architecture, the arts, and gardening.  I am excited to part of a community that is in transition, and to have the opportunity to work with so many bright, talented and really hard working friends and neighbors.  

As a founding member of the MOSAIC Community Land Trust, I am the Community Gardens Liaison and I work on the property committee. My husband, David, is a founding member and the current President of the Board of Trustees.  

I am happy to call Pottstown "home" and we'll leave the light on!
