Board of Education&nbsp;case, which barred racial segregation in American public schools, wasn’t the only path for Black parents, teachers, and activists who sought equality of educational opportunity. Some believed that the solution to inequality lay in pressing the federal government to live up to the Jim Crow doctrine of “separate but equal” by providing more resources to Black schools. And for a time, this seemed true in Washington, DC, where Black activists leveraged their status as residents of the nation’s capital to advocate on behalf of Black education. However, disappointments with the “separate but equal” strategy and a sea change in activism led to an embrace of integration. In&nbsp;Nothing Less Than Equality, Professor&nbsp;Tikia K. Hamilton reveals the rich and complex history of educational activism in Washington prior to&nbsp;Brown v. Board of Education, illuminating complex dynamics that provide a counterpoint and backdrop to the landmark Supreme Court case. Hamilton thoroughly examines the multipronged strategies employed by parents, teachers, attorneys, and activists to democratize education. As director of Aszure Barton &amp; Artists | AB&amp;A — a multidisciplinary dance hub founded in New York in the early 2000s — Aszure has expanded beyond the conventional choreographer-company structure by reshaping what it means to build a body of work, “a mobile home for trusted humans,” as she says. Month-to-month flexible car lease company opens New York hub in Larchmont to serve surrounding communities
<a href="https://www.flexcar.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Flexcar</a>, the first and only month-to-month car lease company, today announced its expansion into New York State with the opening of its New York hub in Larchmont. The launch grows Flexcar&rsquo;s East Coast footprint and makes its flexible car leases accessible to drivers across the greater New York area.

With its New York launch, Flexcar is adding approximately 13,400 square feet of retail and lot space, providing capacity for hundreds of vehicles. The expansion is expected to create more than 20 local jobs across operations, service, and customer support roles. New York drivers will have access to Flexcar&rsquo;s diverse fleet of more than 200 makes and models, including popular options like the Nissan Rogue, Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Grand Highlander, GMC Yukon, Volvo V60 and Chevrolet Tahoe.
