Kazoo Society Marching Band, Neighbor

Founded in 2010 as a kazoo marching band, we believe "Music Matters" & feel playing a kazoo is fun & an affordable way to introduce people to music.

The Kazoo Society is dedicated to the advancement of music as a critical part of the human existence. We believe by encouraging fellowship, education, arts and culture awareness and community involvement, we can improve the quality of life of our band members and those we touch.

We also believe that the kazoo is

overlooked and is undervalued as an educational tool. As the only musical instrument invented in the USA, the kazoo should be our National Instrument.

We intend to support a lobbying effort to have it named so. We will work with kazoo makers, wholesalers, retailers, music students, amateur musicians, professional performers, public music educators, private music teachers, and arts and culture institutions to contact their government representatives to support our efforts.
