Kendra Hubbell recently moved back to Mercer Island with her husband and two children from their home in Newcastle. Their daughter started in the Mercer Island School District during open enrollment and their son soon followed.

After three years of commuting, the family finally decided to make a huge life change to be closer to their children’s amazing school. They moved from their home of ten years with a large yard and downsized to a condo, making them instant landlords and tenants at the same time. The family is now experiencing first-hand what it's like living in the heart of Mercer Island's downtown.

Kendra can also be found blogging on her own site, The Best Friend Food Project, a blog about cooking and baking for her family and friends with food sensitivities and food allergies.

Kendra first moved to Mercer Island from Northern California for her senior year of high school. After a rewarding academic year and performing in several plays at Mercer Island's own Youth Theater Northwest, Kendra graduated from Mercer Island Highschool. From there she attended San Francisco State University where she earned a degree in Broadcast Electronic Communication Arts. She has worked in radio, television, and was an Interactive Media Producer. Kendra teaches Parent/Tot Swim classes at the Coal Creek Family YMCA, volunteers often for her kids elementry school and is a Co-Chair of the Board for the Youth Theatre Northwest.
