WEEKLY MEDITATION CLASSES IN OCTOBER ON THURSDAYS There is nothing more powerful than our own mind; it creates all of our experiences.
When we experience tension, tightness, or stress, this is an indication that there is an unpleasant feeling in our mind. If we learn methods to address unpleasant feelings as soon as they arise, we can deprive them of their power to make us tense and unhappy.
Join us for this series of meditation classes to learn how to be more comfortable, even in otherwise uncomfortable situations.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of meditation experience.

Clarity and Wisdom: Meditations to Dispel Tension in the Mind

Life presents to us a range of experiences, but in reality, these experiences are colored by our state of mind. If we develop positive states of mind, we have better experiences. Eventually, we will always have a happy mind and a level of wisdom that experiences everything as joyful. Such a practitioner literally goes from joy, to joy, to joy.
If we can learn to be inwardly joyful and peaceful regardless of what is going on around us, we create an island of peace - where our spiritual practice transforms our own experience and that of those around us for the better. Over time, we will learn to abide within our peaceful mind all the time.
So, let's start building our peace of mind and travel from joy to joy! Everyone is welcome.

By developing qualities in ourselves that lead to harmonious relationships - like patience, generosity, kindness, and compassion - our mind transforms. With a mind like this, how could we ever be unhappy? How could we ever feel displeased? How could we ever have a problem with others, or in life?
Join us for a practical half-day meditation workshop to look at Buddhist teachings for bringing more harmony into our life. Whether we just need to improve our relationships, or have the desire to transform our life entirely, this workshop is perfect for everyone.

Bring Harmony Into Your Life: A Meditation Workshop

There are many different kinds of noise. There is environmental noise - the sounds of the city and the sounds of life. There is inner noise, or mental noise - when our mind won't be quiet. There is also digital noise - the silent calling of our attention to our digital devices.
For our silent Saturday retreat we will get away from all the noise. A day of inner peace, environmental peace, and separation from the digital distractions that pull at and disturb our peace of mind.
We will turn off our devices, refrain from conversation, and tune our mind to peace and calm. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Each session is guided, and advice for the meditation breaks will be given at the end of each session. We will also use a traditional preliminary practice called Prayers for Meditation to improve our inner conditions for meditation.
The day's schedule is structured so that you can relax and peacefully enjoy some space between meditations.
Everyone Welcome!
