Join Rock Voices, the community choir that ONLY sings rock music!

Explore how junior boarding helps middle school students build confidence, independence, and readiness for high school.
Discover the benefits of boarding school during the middle school years. Join representatives from 11 junior boarding schools and local educational consultants for an informative panel discussion designed to answer families’ common questions:
<ul><li>What is junior boarding school?</li><li>How can boarding during the middle school years support a student’s academic growth, independence, confidence, sense of belonging, and preparation for high school?</li><li>What is daily life like, and how do schools help students adjust to living away from home?</li><li>How can families determine whether junior boarding is the right fit for their student?</li></ul>
The program will explore academics, residential life, extracurricular opportunities, student support, the admissions process, and preparation for secondary school. Following the discussion, families will have time to meet representatives from participating schools, ask individual questions, and learn more about each school’s distinctive community and programs.
Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:15 p.m. Families are welcome to arrive later and join us as their schedules allow.
Advance registration is encouraged; walk-ins are also warmly welcomed.

Judy Paster is a Nashville-based, Pennsylvania-grown Americana artist whose music carries the soul of her story - honest, authentic, and full of hope. Blending Americana, folk, roots, and singer-songwriter influences, her songs explore resilience, faith, loss, healing, and the search for peace with a voice that is both gritty and heartfelt. Her artistry has earned national recognition - Billboard called her “an artist truly on the rise,” and her songs have been featured in film and television including Christmas Crush, The Holiday Exchange, and Music City Mistletoe. She has received honors including the Josie Music Award for Folk/Americana Artist of the Year and a Covenant Award for co-writing Jazz Blues Song of the Year. The Fractals are Kevin Hanson (guitar, vocals), Jim Stager (bass, vocals), and Erik Johnson (drums, vocals) and Mike Frank (keys, vocals). These guys continue to define creative songwriting and performance for the Philly region as former founding members of Huffamoose (Interscope Records).&nbsp;

The Kelly Center does not have a physical box office for advance ticket purchases. You may purchase tickets at a discount on line in advance. Otherwise tickets are full price at the door if any tickets remain.
BYOB is welcome for an additional $5 donation per drinker. Disposable cups and ice provided. No Food is served at the Kelly Center. You can bring in outside food. There is a vending machine with snacks , cold drinks, and coffee pods for a Keurig.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h1>From Childhood to Independence: A Night at Longwood Gardens with Amigos de Jesús</h1>
In a country where poverty, limited educational opportunities and economic insecurity can leave young people with few choices for their futures, Amigos de Jesús is working to create another possibility: helping vulnerable children grow into educated, healthy and independent adults with the skills and opportunities to build their lives in Honduras.
On Thursday, October 15, 2026, Amigos de Jesús will bring that story to Longwood Gardens for Growing Together with Amigos, an evening celebrating the children and young adults of Amigos and inviting the greater Philadelphia community to become part of their journey.
Amigos de Jesús provides a safe and nurturing home for vulnerable children in Honduras, but its work does not end with providing a safe place to live. The organization walks alongside children from childhood into adulthood, providing education, healthcare, emotional support, faith formation, life skills and opportunities designed to prepare them for healthy, independent lives.
“Our goal isn't simply to care for a child today,” said Kelley Jackson, President and CEO of Amigos de Jesús. “We have to ask what success looks like when that child becomes an adult. Are they educated? Are they healthy? Do they have the skills and confidence to work, manage their lives and build a future within the realities of Honduras? That is the journey we are committed to.”
Guests attending Growing Together with Amigos are invited to enjoy Longwood Gardens throughout the day before gathering in the Fountain Room from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a cocktail reception, stories and updates from Honduras, and a private illuminated fountain show.
The evening is designed not only to raise critical funds for the mission, but also to introduce new people throughout the region to Amigos de Jesús and the many ways individuals, families, schools, churches and businesses can become involved.
Tickets are $200 per person and include untimed admission to Longwood Gardens for the day, the evening reception and private illuminated fountain show.

On Tuesday night, Sept 22nd a dog escaped its temporary &nbsp;holding area. The dog, Charlie, a 65 lbs brown, brindle neutered male was last seen near the George Lorimer nature preserve. He has not been seen since and his owner is distraught. If you have seen Charlie, please call the Tredyffrin Police Department at 610 647 1440 to report where Charlie was seen. A reward is offered upon the safe return of Charlie. Please approach Charlie with caution. He does not like other dogs.&nbsp;
