I am a full-time Adult Services librarian (MLIS; Ohio Library Council Certified Public Librarian; OhioNET Ancestry Library Edition Specialist) at Avon Lake Public Library in Avon Lake, OH, who works with other librarians, as well as volunteers, to procure, preserve, and promote the Library's local history and genealogy collection. Before becoming a librarian, I worked as a journalist, a freelance writer, a technical writer, a tutor (which I still do as a part-time job), and an elementary school teacher.

The articles I write for the Patch feature Avon Lake local history stories, which I hope will educate readers about this area's history and inspire them to visit the Avon Lake Public Library's collection and perhaps donate their local history items to the Library's collection.
