Buffalo Arts Studio

Buffalo Arts Studio is thrilled to present Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo, “Trascender | Leaving a Mark,” which features new work across diverse mediums that tell the ten-year story of Los Artistas: an ever-growing collective dedicated to community impact. The exhibition is on view from September 25 through October 31, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, September 25, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm as part of M&amp;T Fourth Friday at Tri-Main.
“Trascender | Leaving a Mark” highlights the resiliency, legacy, and evolution at the heart of forming and maintaining an arts collective over the last ten years. Founded in 2016, Los Artistas del Barrio Buffalo (LADB) is an arts collective that exhibits, promotes, and supports Latino/a/x and Hispanic artists of all disciplines located in and connected to Buffalo and Western New York.&nbsp;

Los Artistas is held together by a shared vision and the emotional power of doing something meaningful. Together their members recognize the power of creative expression as a tool for storytelling, healing, education, and community building.

Introducing Buffalo Arts Studio’s Houseparty, or BASH, a new fundraiser where you can dance and boogie to benefit Buffalo Arts Studio! On Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 7–11 pm, guests are invited to dance the night away in a contemporary art gallery. Tickets are just $25, and all proceeds benefit Buffalo Arts Studio.

For its debut, BASH will feature music by DJ group GRC Buffalo, projection art by Mark Valkwitch, special made-for-event installations created by BAS Studio Artists, and a photo booth provided by Proven Party Rentals. The event will also feature a cash bar with beer provided by Community Beer Works, and homemade liège waffles provided by Sugar Baby Waffle Co.'s mobile waffle bar.

Grab your friends and party with Buffalo Arts Studio for a night full of fun, celebration, and community! Partygoers are strongly encouraged to wear costumes, whether reused from Halloween or completely new, and participate in the costume contest. Prizes will be provided by Buffalo Arts Studio and other local businesses!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is proud to welcome educators to our site during September 2026, Constitution Month, to commemorate our nation’s journey towards independence and democracy. The free program is co-sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Social Studies Council. The event will be the first of many lively conversation about America at 250 with some of our country’s leading history scholars. It is open to teachers throughout the Mid Hudson and Sound Shore communities as well as Fairfield County.
Professors David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman and Beverly Gage will take the stage at the new Wachenheim Center to examine the history of the nation-state and the contested nature of American national identity. The panel will discuss what the United States and the Constitution have meant to citizens over time and how that vision has changed or stayed constant. &nbsp;The event is FREE but registration is required.
