Westport Community Theatre

Suspense, intrigue, murder, and a touch of dark humor have come to the Westport Community Theatre stage with "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play," now playing through October 4 at Westport Town Hall. Adapted for the stage by Fairfield playwright Joe Landry, Vintage Hitchcock transforms three early Alfred Hitchcock thrillers – The Lodger, Sabotage, and The 39 Steps – into a 1940s-style radio broadcast performed before a live audience. A mysterious killer stalks the streets of London. A devastating explosion sets a deadly plot in motion. And an innocent man finds himself pursued across Britain in a breathless chase. Rather than attempting to recreate Hitchcock’s films onstage, Vintage Hitchcock uses the imaginative possibilities of radio theatre to tell the stories in an entirely different way – through voices, music, sound effects, and the audience’s own imagination. The seven-member cast moves among multiple roles, voices, and characters as the three stories unfold, creating the world of Hitchcock with microphones, scripts, music, and an elaborate soundscape. Directed by Richard Mancini and stage managed by Patricia A. Berg, the production features Joan Barere, John Bachelder, Roger Dykeman, Linda Gilmore, Ann Kinner, Sam Mink, and Tom Rushen. The production also features an original musical score by composer and writer Paul Richard Keegan. Westport Community Theatre’s 69th season includes Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play, Betrayal, Happy Days, Summer, 1976, What the Constitution Means to Me, and Catch-22.

MTM's first concert takes place on Sunday, Sept. 27 and features concert with acclaimed concert pianist Benita Rose titled Two Poles: Music of Frederic Chopin &amp; Tomasz Kowalczyk
Fresh from her fifth world tour, Rose will present the music of Poland's most distinguished composer, Frederic Chopin. She will juxtapose selections by Chopin with the contemporary music of a living Polish talent, the composer, pianist, poet, and author Tomasz Kowalczyk.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Later this fall, on Nov. 15, MTM celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States as we present the Kalish-Walker Duo in American Dreams, a concert that will feature the work of an array of noteworthy American composers.
Tickets for all Music in the Meetinghouse performances are available at the door only at $30 for adults; $20 for seniors and $10 for student.

Terri Dennehy</a> and our UU Westport community this Sunday at 10 AM, where our service will be "Con-spiring for Justice."&nbsp;&nbsp;Children's programming and nursery care is available.&nbsp; +++ All are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and <a href="https://uuwestport.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">live-streamed online</a>. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. 
The <a href="https://uuwestport.org/mission-statement/about-our-ministers-2/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Rev. Terri Dennehy</a>&nbsp;presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director <a href="https://uuwestport.org/music-program/our-minister-of-music/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Micah Krajca</a> leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is available during the service, 10-11:15AM - children start in the sanctuary with their parents/caregivers; &nbsp;nursery care (ages 0- preK) is always available. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.

Norwalk, CT – The Waypointe is excited to announce the Waypointe Trivia Challenge, a community-wide event taking place on Saturday, October 3rd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Held at the vibrant Waypointe Retail Courtyard, located at 515 West Avenue, this free, family-friendly event invites residents, visitors, and neighbors to put their local knowledge to the test while supporting the businesses that make Waypointe home.
The Trivia Challenge features 16 local spots and 32 clever clues, challenging participants to guess the local favorites hidden behind each hint. Teams will make their way through clues spotlighting Waypointe tenants including Allora Coffee &amp; Bites, Kicksmith Studio, Elm Street Diner, Colony Grill, Chase, Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery, William Raveis, Ds Rugs Studio, Fresh Monkee, Women's Health Care of New England, Haruki, F45 Training, Amma's South Indian Cuisine, Salons by JC, and Daniel Dental Studio. Every business is part of the Waypointe community, and every clue is a chance to celebrate what makes this neighborhood special.
Participants who complete the challenge will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win prizes from the local businesses featured in the event. Bring a team, bring your curiosity, and see how well you really know Waypointe.

Immerse yourself in William Shakespeare’s timeless tales on a scenic stroll through Bristow Bird Sanctuary. Professional actors and musicians bring to life beloved scenes and songs inspired by Shakespeare’s greatest works. Visitors may encounter the romance of Romeo &amp; Juliet, the whimsy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the magic of The Tempest, and the dark intrigue of Macbeth—complete with witches and sword fights—along with sonnets, madrigals, and more. Join us on a journey through nature and story.
Performance Details: This is an outdoor promenade-style experience where audience members are led down a walking path and encounter various Shakespearean vignettes. The total distance is less than a mile on a smooth gravel path with light gradation. The full experience is ADA accessible.
Groups of 15–20 will depart every 15 minutes from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM for a 45-50 minute traveling experience. Tickets Limited!
All ages welcome.

Now in its fourth year, the Inclusive Leadership Impact Awards (ILIA) brings together leaders, changemakers, and community members to honor the people building workplaces and communities where everyone belongs. The evening features the awards presentation alongside food, beverages, live music, and networking with a room full of leaders committed to inclusive impact.
This year's celebration recognizes six honorees across six categories:

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that its annual “Fairfield Harvest Market” event, will be held on the Old Town Hall Green, (corner of Old Post Road and Beach Road) on Saturday, October 17th, and is now accepting vendor applications.
The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce heralds the start of the autumn season by welcoming vendors, both business &amp; artisan, who want the opportunity to reach Fairfield and area residents, on the historic Old Town Hall Green, where they will display their products and items to the general public. The much-anticipated Halloween Costume Dog Parade will be held again this year at noon, so pet-related vendors are also invited with their pooch-related items!
Last year, 2025, the event featured more than 80 well-known and unique retail vendors, along with a variety of food trucks, and Fairfield Rotary’s Beer Garden! Shoppers and visitors stroll along the pathways enjoying music, food and making purchases – even buying gifts for the upcoming 2026 holidays!
