The Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is a dynamic nonprofit which manages the Jay Estate in Rye, New York. The 23-acre park that they have preserved and interpreted since 1992 is an award-winning culture hub and wildlife refuge on Long Island Sound. Located in the heart of Westchester’s only National Historic Landmark District, the site welcomes visitors April through November to learn about our nation’s flawed yet precious democracy through indoor and outdoor public programs. Offerings about American History feature prominent writers and educators. Free horticulture and birding workshops teach guests about native plants and wildlife. Family-friendly concerts draw hundreds for old-fashioned fun and unplugged enjoyment. The site is a member of NY State's Path Through History and Westchester County's African American Heritage Trail. Darien EMS–Post 53 Haunted House And Fall Festival
When: Sunday, Oct. 25, 1:30–3:30 p.m. Where: Post 53 Headquarters, 0 Ledge Road, Darien Admission: $10 per child
Darien EMS–Post 53 will host its annual haunted house and fall festival, featuring three levels of fright for children of all ages.
Families can enjoy pumpkin decorating, face painting, a bake sale, ambulance tours and more. Costumes are encouraged.
All proceeds will benefit Darien EMS–Post 53, the town’s volunteer EMS organization staffed by highly trained, state-certified Darien High School student EMTs and adult EMT advisors.

The St Barnabas Choir, directed by Marnus Greyling, presents a concert of American choral music, in celebration of America's 250th anniversary.

The program will include well known spirituals and folk songs, such as Deep River and Shenandoah, original compositions by living American composers Lauridsen, Runestad and others, and also some&nbsp;arrangements of classic jazz standards. An accessible selection of music for all ages!
Booking is essential as space is limited. A wine reception will follow the event.
