Little Chefs Nov 18th Class Theme: Tacos, Your Way
In this hands-on class, children will mix a simple corn tortilla dough, press and cook their own tortillas, then create a seasoning blend for ground-beef tacos. With guidance, they’ll help prepare the taco meat and finish their tacos with a selection of toppings they choose themselves. Our Little Chefs classes are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and introduce young children to the joy of food through hands-on, play-based learning. Each week features a new theme, keeping the experience fresh, engaging, and full of discovery. Classes blend education with cooking, incorporating STEM concepts and sensory exploration in a way that feels fun and natural for young learners. During each class, children will:

Engage in hands-on cooking and snack-making, using simple, age appropriate techniques

Explore colors, textures, and flavors through guided sensory activities

Build fine motor skills and coordination through pouring, mixing, spreading, and assembling

Participate in motor planning activities and games that support movement and confidence

Enjoy storytime, coloring or craft connected to the day’s theme

Our classes are intentionally structured to balance activity and focus, allowing children to learn through doing, exploring, and playing. We emphasize process over perfection—encouraging creativity, independence, and a positive relationship with food. Whether it’s their first time in the kitchen or they already love to help at home, Little Chefs will leave each class proud of what they’ve created and excited to come back for more. Age Recommendation (2-6): While ages are suggested, it's important for a parent or guardian to stay with their child throughout the entire class. Ticket Information: No ticket is needed for the Parent or Guardian accompanying the child.

Whether you are hosting friends and family, contributing to a gathering, or simply looking to add a few new favorites to your entertaining repertoire, you’ll leave with recipes worth making again. After cooking in small groups, we’ll gather at our beautifully set communal table to enjoy the dishes together, along with a chef-prepared Cranberry-Lime Spritz with rosemary. On the Menu

Kitchen Crew Off- School Holiday Helper Camp
Two-Day Camp for Ages 6–10
Over two hands-on days, Kitchen Crew will cook through comforting, holiday-ready recipes while building the practical skills that make them more confident helpers at home. From shaping meatballs and making gravy to mixing roll dough, preparing stovetop macaroni and cheese, and baking mini apple pies, students will create a full collection of dishes they can be proud to share.
Whether they are asked to stir, roll, measure, set the table, or even make their own dish to bring to the Thanksgiving table, this camp gives young cooks real kitchen skills they can use during the holiday season—and well beyond it. They’ll leave better prepared to take on meaningful jobs alongside the adults in their own kitchens.
And because food is even better when it is shared, Kitchen Crew will enjoy their own Friendsgiving-style celebrations at the Southernish studio, sitting down together to enjoy the meals they helped create.
Camp Schedule
Day 1 — Turkey Meatballs, Gravy & Mashed Potatoes
Students will prepare turkey meatballs, make gravy, and cook mashed potatoes. They’ll also mix an overnight dough for fresh rolls to bake on Day 2, then gather for their own Friendsgiving-style meal at the studio.
Day 2 — Mac & Cheese, Mini Apple Pies & Fresh-Baked Rolls
Kitchen Crew will make stovetop macaroni and cheese with sausage and broccoli, prepare mini apple pies with a streusel topping, and bake the rolls they began the day before for a second celebratory feast.
Registration includes both camp days. What to Expect:

Young Chefs Off- School Holiday Helper Camp: Cook, Bake & Share Two-Day Camp for Ages 10–15
Give your young cook a meaningful place at the holiday table—before the meal even begins.
Over two hands-on days, Young Chefs will cook through comforting, holiday-ready recipes while building the independence and practical kitchen skills that make them more confident helpers at home. From shaping meatballs and building a flavorful gravy to mixing roll dough, preparing stovetop macaroni and cheese, and baking mini apple pies, students will create a full collection of dishes they can be proud to share.
Whether they are asked to prepare a side dish, manage part of a holiday meal, or contribute something of their own to Thanksgiving, this camp gives young cooks real skills they can use during the holiday season—and well beyond it. They’ll practice working with greater responsibility, following a multi-step process, managing timing, and seeing how individual dishes come together into a complete meal.
And because food is even better when it is shared, Young Chefs will enjoy their own Friendsgiving-style celebrations at the Southernish studio, sitting down together to enjoy the meal they helped create.
