Lisa Mackin, Neighbor

True to Massachusetts as the Red Sox. I was born and raised in Western Mass. and attended Tantasqua Regional High School in Sturbridge. While there,  I had independent studies that focused mainly in Journalism and Graphic Arts. After graduation I continued my education in Graphic Arts in college and worked as a Production Assistant to the Editor of the school paper. Following upcoming events and developing stories was apart of daily life for me. I loved the hunt for information that was needed to complete a piece, it was exciting and something I had a natural passion for. Another aspect of my position was interviewing and connecting with people, which I never had a problem with. It came easy to me to put people at ease and I really liked getting to know my community.

While art was my love and passion, writing always followed close behind like a silent friend, waiting to be welcomed again.

As I moved around and matured, my life started to have other meanings, such as my husband and daughter. My husband, a former golf professional, had my back with support to return to my roots, but in his job commuting was apart of life.  So, now, here in North Grafton, Mass. we have found our home. Able to grow our family and love life with doing what we love,  priceless.  I am overjoyed and fulfilled to be writing again, welcome back old friend!
