As Director of CEO Works, a school business partnership program of CEO - Career & Employment Options, I work to connect business and education here on Long Island. It is the hope that our students will be offered opportunities as early in their high school education as possible to experience shadow days, internships and jobs, in addition to meeting companies at specific career days, speakers bureaus and other programs/events. Our Long Island businesses need to invest in their future employees and our taxes and time is that investment. I work with students of all learning abilities--all students need these "real world" educational experiences to learn more about opportunities and decide what their future can be. Let's eliminate degrees that students don't use and loans that they can't pay back. We work with all school districts that understand the value of this learning.
