Board of Education&nbsp;case, which barred racial segregation in American public schools, wasn’t the only path for Black parents, teachers, and activists who sought equality of educational opportunity. Some believed that the solution to inequality lay in pressing the federal government to live up to the Jim Crow doctrine of “separate but equal” by providing more resources to Black schools. And for a time, this seemed true in Washington, DC, where Black activists leveraged their status as residents of the nation’s capital to advocate on behalf of Black education. However, disappointments with the “separate but equal” strategy and a sea change in activism led to an embrace of integration. In&nbsp;Nothing Less Than Equality, Professor&nbsp;Tikia K. Hamilton reveals the rich and complex history of educational activism in Washington prior to&nbsp;Brown v. Board of Education, illuminating complex dynamics that provide a counterpoint and backdrop to the landmark Supreme Court case. Hamilton thoroughly examines the multipronged strategies employed by parents, teachers, attorneys, and activists to democratize education. At just 29 years old, Tom Hardin found himself at the center of the largest insider trading investigation in Wall Street history. After being approached by the FBI outside his Manhattan apartment in 2008, the Wharton-educated hedge fund analyst became one of the most prolific cooperating witnesses in securities fraud history. Known by his federal code-name “Tipper X,” Tom wore a covert body wire on over 40 occasions, helping the FBI build more than 20 of the 80+ criminal cases in “Operation Perfect Hedge” — the largest insider trading investigation of a generation. His cooperation contributed to landmark convictions, including the 11-year prison sentence of billionaire Galleon Group founder Raj Rajaratnam.
During this presentation, Tom will share his remarkable journey — from crossing the line from unethical to illegal activity as a young professional, to the psychological toll of living a double life as an undercover informant, to the devastating aftermath of public disgrace, and ultimately, to his path toward personal transformation and redemption.

Aszure Barton is among the most original and sought-after choreographers of her generation — a singular voice whose work has moved audiences around the world, from Nederlands Dans Theater to Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. We are honored to close our Women Move the World 2025/26 Harkness Mainstage Series with a landmark event that celebrates her holistic vision.
As director of Aszure Barton &amp; Artists | AB&amp;A — a multidisciplinary dance hub founded in New York in the early 2000s — Aszure has expanded beyond the conventional choreographer-company structure by reshaping what it means to build a body of work, “a mobile home for trusted humans,” as she says. Since its inception, she’s been generating dance language with her most-trusted AB&amp;A crew while simultaneously creating commissions worldwide — all through a rigorous, collaborative process that simultaneously respects and dismantles classical and contemporary forms. AB&amp;A serves as both a watering hole and connecting thread for this choreographer and her collaborators.
This 92NY celebration shares her interconnected web of community with ours by bringing together AB&amp;A artists from across the globe, including dancers from Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Gauthier Dance//Dance Company Theaterhaus Stuttgart among them Andrew Cummings, and others. Month-to-month flexible car lease company opens New York hub in Larchmont to serve surrounding communities
<a href="https://www.flexcar.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Flexcar</a>, the first and only month-to-month car lease company, today announced its expansion into New York State with the opening of its New York hub in Larchmont. The launch grows Flexcar&rsquo;s East Coast footprint and makes its flexible car leases accessible to drivers across the greater New York area.

&ldquo;Expanding into New York marks an important milestone for Flexcar as we continue to scale nationally,&rdquo; said Ryan Quinlan, President and COO of Flexcar. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re seeing strong and growing demand for greater flexibility and affordability compared to traditional car ownership, and this launch brings that model to one of the country&rsquo;s most influential markets.&rdquo;

With its New York launch, Flexcar is adding approximately 13,400 square feet of retail and lot space, providing capacity for hundreds of vehicles.
