His father, Bucky Pizzarelli, frequently performed with Bennett, and John later joined the icon for a memorable radio session. Bennett often attended Pizzarelli’s shows and even sketched him—one drawing now appears on his album cover <em>Dear Mr. Bennett</em>.</p>
