TBICO (The Bridge to Independence and Career Opportunities) is a nonprofit organization located in Danbury, CT that was established in 1993 and is dedicated to helping people help themselves. Our mission is to promote personal and economic self-sufficiency through education, job training and financial literacy. There is never a fee to participate in any of our programs.

TBICO is a resource center for individuals and families seeking to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency through employment, financial literacy, and stable housing. ​​​​​​We meet people at their point of need so that they can overcome challenges, achieve stability, and improve their lives and the lives of their children. ​​ ​ TBICO...building pathways to economic mobility.

"The Corporate Edge' is TBICO's core curriculum. This program is comprehensive and employment focused; targeting skills and workforce training in demand by area employers. Classes incorporate computer and technology training, business skills, financial literacy, resume preparation, interviewing skills, and more.

We have an on-site "Corporate Closet" with professional style clothes that have been generously donated and are available to our students and graduates. The "Family Self-Sufficiency Program' is a federal program designed to help residents of public housing achieve economic self-sufficiency. "The Money Gym" is our financial literacy education and money management coaching program.
