I am a licensed psychologist who capitalizes on a wide and diverse set of experiences to help people get what they want. I am a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, studied in London, England, and received my PhD from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Prior to establishing a private practice in Barrington, RI, I was a manager for companies, including IBM and General Motors, and a therapist in a Massachusetts state hospital. As the director of Adolescent Services, I developed programs designed to reunite families by teaching family members how to tolerate their emotions long enough to behave wisely.

I live in Barrington with my husband, son and a bulldog named CHUNK. We have lived throughout the United States and abroad, travel extensively, and value the lessons learned from the people we’ve encountered.

With more than fifteen years of clinical experience, I use my unique perspective on life to teach individuals, couples, and adolescents how to cope with significant lifestyle adjustments. I am also a motivational speaker on topics related to managing stress and disappointment, and recently released a book on the topic.

Harriett's Walk: How To Make Wiser Choices for a Better Life is a self-help book I wrote that reads like a novel. The book uses fictional dialogue to give readers a glimpse into the world of counseling and teaches ways to cope with life's challenges; To learn more, please visit www.HarriettsWalk.com
