The United Methodist Church of Westford looks forward to welcoming visitors and people who may be seeking a church home, as well as members and friends! Join us at 9:30 am for a special Welcome Worship Service in the sanctuary. Enjoy the spiritual presence and preaching of Pastor Jinyong, be moved by music from our Youth Choir, Praise Band, and Bell Choir, and delight in joyous congregational hymn singing! Stay afterward for our Annual Church Picnic outside by the picturesque Mill Pond—great food, meaningful fellowship, and fun games for all ages.Each week on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, we offer a welcoming environment, inspiring messages, and beautiful music. "The Ark" will be open and staffed during our Sunday morning Worship Services beginning September 13 to welcome infants and young children. Sunday School will begin September 20 during worship for kids and youth through grade 12. Parking is available at the church, and our building is accessible for people with disabilities. On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.
“The Pan-Mass Challenge is a Massachusetts-based bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the country. Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.

Andover Choral Society will hold open rehearsals for interested singers&nbsp;on Monday, September 28th and Monday, October 5th from 7:20 to 9:30 p.m. at Christ Church, 33 Central Street, Andover, MA. All voice parts are welcome. While there is no audition to join, singers should be able to match pitch and follow music, and regular attendance and committed participation are expected. The season will culminate in a concert on February 7, 2027, featuring Gabriel&nbsp;Fauré’s beloved Requiem along with additional works.&nbsp; 
About Andover Choral Society
Andover Choral Society is a volunteer community chorus that brings together singers of different ages, professions, backgrounds, and levels of musical experience. The group is dedicated to presenting exceptional performances, connecting to the larger community, and fostering an appreciation of choral music. They perform&nbsp;two concerts per year, singing a repertoire that focuses on fine choral and choral-orchestral works from the Baroque era to the present day.&nbsp;In addition to the annual concerts, the chorus performs at area assisted living facilities during the holiday season and at other community events. 
Founded in 1929, Andover Choral Society is looking ahead to celebrating its 100th Anniversary under the leadership of new Music Director Dr. Charles Tyler Turner.&nbsp; Dr. Turner brings extensive experience as a choral and orchestral conductor, music educator, and nonprofit leader to his new role with Andover Choral Society. He is enthusiastic about welcoming new singers to the organization and issued the following&nbsp;invitation to prospective members.
