Join us as we raise money for the Commack Fire Department, the Commack Ambulance Corps, and the Eric Spinato Foundation for student scholarships, in memory of Commack alumn, Eric Spinato.</h5>

It addresses such issues as: how to leave a home that you love and have lived in for decades; the difficulties of downsizing; what is life like in a retirement community; how to find purpose in retirement; and much more.&nbsp;This book is especially apropos to the over 300,000 &ldquo;baby boomers&rdquo; living on Long Island who are recently (or about to be) retired and whose children have grown and moved out, leaving them with a big, empty house to maintain.Bonnie Soman, a member of the baby boom generation, retired from her career as a university administrator more than a decade ago. She moved to a CCRC, a type of retirement community, four years ago and wrote this book to share her story of finding happiness, joy, and fulfillment in her community.&ldquo;Six Saturdays and a Sunday&rdquo; is available in paperback (standard and large print) and eBook on Amazon.
