Mark Hoff, Neighbor

Providence-based, California born, and New York City-formed, I work in sales and marketing for information businesses for my bread and butter. My professional expertise encompasses global B2B sales and marketing, global energy issues, Latin American business development, Brazilian political economy, and global environmental strategy. My personal interests include outdoor sports (cycling, skiing, kayaking, hiking), street photography, literature, cooking, and gardening.   

Married with three children, two in the Providence Public Schools and one in college in upstate New York, I also do volunteer outreach work for American Field Service (AFS), the international exchange and learning organization that since its origins as a World War I ambulance service has been dedicated to promoting inter-cultural understanding through international exchange programs.

I have lived the AFS exchange experience both as a high-school student abroad to Brazil and as a host parent to an Italian student. I am currently at work on a book about the life-changing effects of the year-abroad experience.
