Blessing of the Animals Services –&nbsp; 8 and 10:15 a.m. Bring your favorite pet companion to the annual Blessing of the Animals Services at 8 or 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Church of the Holy Spirit (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road at Sumneytown Pike, Harleysville. In keeping with the love that Francis of Assisi had for God's creatures, this tradition of blessing will be observed during both Communion Services. All pets must be leashed or in an appropriate cage, carrier or container. If your pet does not do well in crowds, please bring a picture of your pet to be blessed. A concert of vocal and instrumental music from the American Colonial period, “America at 250 Years,” will be presented by the Riverview Early Music group at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Church of the HolySpirit, 2871 Barndt Road at Sumneytown Pike, Harleysville. Performing on period instruments, the group will perform sacred hymns, pop and theater music, dance tunes, dramatic ballads and stirring songs of rebellion. The music will give the audience an opportunity to experience the sounds and stories that shaped everyday life in Colonial America. A reception follows. A $25 donation is suggested. Many parents believe Snapchat is just a harmless app for sending silly photos and staying in touch with school friends, but the reality behind the screen is vastly different.
Phoenixville Public Library will host a free presentation, “Snapchat Safety for Parents”, on Tuesday, October 6, 6:30 PM, at the Library.
The featured speaker, Attorney Zachary Yurick, is a former Chester County Child Abuse Prosecutor who now represents harmed families against Snap Inc. 
This eye-opening session teaches parents exactly how predators manipulate features to target and exploit kids, alongside the very real warning signs of social media addiction. 
Attendees will walk away with:&nbsp;

About the Speaker: Zack is a dedicated trial attorney who has spent his career serving as a fierce voice for vulnerable children and crime victims. His work earned him the 2023 Prosecutor of the Year Award and the 2024 Crime Victim Advocacy Award. Most recently, he was named a 2026 Nextgen Superstar and Main Line Today’s Top Crime Victim Attorney for his work representing harmed children and their families. He leverages his unique investigative background to expose platform vulnerabilities, hold tech giants legally responsible, and provide communities with the critical education parents need to protect their children.

Saturday evening will be headlined by the feature documentary BLOOD &amp; GUTS, followed by the festival’s official afterparty at JJ Rattigan’s.
The festival continues Sunday with additional documentary screenings and Q&amp;As before concluding with the 4th Annual Pottstown Film Festival Awards Ceremony.
