Asbury-Crestwood United Methodist Church is delighted to present the Regimental Brass Quintet of West Point in a free outdoor concert, produced under the auspices of the church’s professional concert series, Music at Asbury. The concert, titled “America the Beautiful,” will celebrate 250 years of American independence with a program of music by American composers and specifically patriotic works.
Comprised of graduates from America’s finest music schools, the professional musicians of the West Point Band provide world-class music and support to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets and to serve as ambassadors of the United States Military Academy and the Army for local, national, and international communities. The West Point Band’s chamber ensembles perform for official military functions, social occasions, formal concerts, public service and educational youth clinics and concerts. The Regimental Brass was formed in 2003 and presents a diverse repertoire from Renaissance to modern works to its audiences. In addition to its performances for military functions, the ensemble has been featured on concert series throughout the country, recently including performances in Florida, Oregon, Connecticut, South Dakota, Utah, and Iowa.
This is a 60-minute program with no intermission, held outdoors in the unique open air chapel at Asbury United Methodist Church. Reservations are recommended for concert seating; lawn seating and “bring your own chair” seating available in the rear of the parking lot. Ample parking. Refreshments will be served following the performance.In case of rain, concert will be held in the church sanctuary.

is designed to serve as a social service to the community, offering free performances by some of New York City and the Hudson Valley’s finest musical artists.

The Nyack Famous Street Fair will be returning on Sunday, May 17 from 10 to 5 in downtown Nyack. This is the ultimate shopping and dining event you do not want to miss. The fair features over three hundred exhibitors, from four states with arts, crafts, new retail, home décor, and unique gifts set up in tents lining Main, Broadway and Cedar Streets. For the foodie’s festival foods of all kinds will be available including food trucks. Music will be located at the Gazebo on Main Street. Be sure to stop by the great restaurants and outdoor cafes with many offering fair specials. Nyack’s unique shops and boutiques are a must see. 
The fair is held rain or shine. No pets please. The Nyack Famous Street Fair has been held for over 50 years and has become a much-anticipated event that is looked forward to year after year.
