As an 11 year resident of Woodridge, Linda J. Mast started getting involved in community efforts by actively engaging in town hall meetings and was appointed to the Village Plan Commission where she serves as Secretary of the Commission. She has served on the Plan Commission for over 5 years. Dr. Mast has significant executive leadership experience including the Army Nurse Corps, director of healthcare facilities, and Chief Compliance Officer for the University of Chicago Health System where she served as an advisor to the U.S. Office of Inspector General. She is an Elder at her church and engages in volunteer activities to help those in need in the DuPage County area. Currently as a Professor in Healthcare Administration at Walden University, Linda is committed to inspiring students around the world to develop their leadership skills to improve healthcare. Healthy communities are closely tied to effective community planning to ensure that recreation and transportation services encourage healthy lifesyles and are accessible to all Woodridge citizens. She is passionate about the value of collaboration and teamwork, both in theory and in practice, and has conducted research and published in this field of study. Linda and her husband, Bard treasure the sense of community and quality of life Woodridge offers. Their daughter Laura is a landscape architect.
