Matthew Heidtmann, Neighbor

I live on Long Island with my wife and our son. I am an American historian of the late Gilded Age and the Progressive Era (late 19th & early 20th century). When I’m not teaching, researching, or writing, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and reading. In my spare time I am also a political activist in the region. I stand up against the injustices and fallacies that plague our society, and I work toward creating a future in which all of us are truly free and equal.
