<p>Learn the Witch Dance! Join us as the Hooded Owl Witch Dancers of Rhode Island will offer a free class in this popular dance activity.</p><p>Since launching in Germany a decade ago, witch dancing has become a global phenomenon. Attracted by the simple dance moves and opportunity to dress up, women around the world&nbsp;of all ages and abilities are starting local witch dance troupes. The class is not rigorous and no prior dance experience is necessary. Just come prepared to have fun and ’Shake Your Booty’. Bring a broom (or a stick) and wear comfortable shoes</p>

<p>Rhode Island’s own General Nathanael Greene does make the history books, but he is not given enough credit. If he is given credit, it is just for his command of and strategy employing the patriot forces in the south during the last few years of the war. He is not given enough credit for his accomplishments in over two years as Quartermaster General heading the army’s logistical system, nor for the high esteem in which he was held by Commander in Chief George Washington. Giving him due credit, this lecture will examine his life before the war, his many contributions in the war, and his life thereafter.</p>
