Michael Colbert is an aspiring writer and Westborough High School Student. He self-published a middle grade novel Misadventures in Filgersville in 2008 and has actively marketed it through school visits, book signings, and his own website. Michael is a winner of both National Novel Writing Month and Script Frenzy. He is a member of the Society of Children&#39;s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Worcester Writers&#39; Collaborative.He hopes that both he and his readers of this blog will learn from his posts.

Angel Hair Alpacas

Our annual shearing day! Our beautiful alpacas have been growing their luxurious fleece for a year and now it is time to shear it all off! It is the only day we clean our alpacas and get their fiber ready for processing into beautiful and useful clothing and garments. Come see the process, play with the alpacas on the farm. Note that our property is hilly. The area for shearing is relatively flat but sloped and may not be accessible for all visitors. Please no dogs at this event. Shearing is usually 9-11:30 and tours continue until 3pm. Light refreshments provided. Parking is around the corner at the Willard House and Clock Museum which is also open for tours or you can bring a picnic and sit on their beautiful lawn.

<h2>Mano a Mano: Arias in Dialogue</h2>
​Mano a Mano: Arias in Dialogue is a one-hour concert program that places iconic European arias in dialogue with Spanish and Latin American counterparts—introducing classical Hispanic repertoire to new audiences. Through themes of identity, love, and community, the program draws connections between operatic classics and often-overlooked Latin American gems. This season features seven world premieres of newly arranged works by Laura Intravia, specially commissioned for this project by mezzo-soprano Fanny Lora, and performed with a Boston-based chamber ensemble. Each concert includes a brief post-performance discussion to foster cultural exchange and community dialogue across New England and beyond.
