Set inside the historic, candlelit sanctuary of the Old North Church, this immersive hour-long performance blends 18th-century charm with spine-chilling storytelling. Step into the shadowy intersection of Jazz Age spiritualism and 19th-century gentility at the William Hickling Prescott House on Beacon Hill
In the 1920s, Boston society was gripped by a flurry of table-tipping and bell ringing, led by the charismatic Mina Crandon, famously known as "The Witch of Lime Street." This special evening program sets the stage in a historic Federal-style mansion to examine how grief, mystery, and scientific inquiry collided in historic New England drawing rooms.
The highlight of the evening features a historical recreation of a 1920s séance led by Mina Crandon (portrayed by the inimitable Laura Rocklyn). Guests will experience the dim lights, mysterious rappings, and otherworldly manifestations that once baffled top scientists and enraged master illusionist Harry Houdini.
Following the performance, step back across the veil for an interactive Q&amp;A session with Crandon herself. This is your chance to ask about her spirit guide Walter, her fierce rivalry with Houdini, and the thin line between psychic wonder and theatrical illusion.
Complementing the performance is a pop-up micro-exhibit of 19th-century mourning clothes and accessories drawn from the museum's extensive costume collection. These fragile garments offer a haunting look into how historic Boston families visually processed sorrow and commemorated the dead during an era of frequent brushes with mortality. Watch a live, dramatic demonstration of the intricate—and slightly volatile—Victorian chemical process used by historic photographers to capture the human soul on glass and silver.

Join us for the 2nd annual Cape Cod Pottery Trail! This self-guided trail offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the people and places where Cape Cod pottery is made. With 16 locations on the 2026 trail map and multiple artists at some locations, visitors can experience an extraordinary range of ceramic work—from wheel-thrown and slipcast functional ware to hand-built sculpture, jewelry, raku and wood-fired pieces. Many of these spaces are not open to the public outside the Trail, making the weekend a unique opportunity to meet the artists, see their creative processes, and purchase work directly from the makers. The Trail is free and open to everyone. There is no starting point or route. Visitors already on-Cape can jump onto the trail at any location, while those arriving from off-Cape often begin at the Sagamore location. Download a map from the Pottery Trail website. For an added element of fun, this map doubles as a Pottery Passport which provides space to collect a stamp at each stop. Complete the passport and turn it in at the final stop for a chance to win a handmade piece created by one of the Trail artists. Los Angeles-based and critically acclaimed guitarist and singer Ana Popovic is set to release her highly anticipated album Dance To The Rhythm (Electric Heel Records) on September 26, 2025. Produced by Popovic and Buthel, the album showcases a groundbreaking fusion of groove, blues, funk, and soul.
Building on the success of her previous work, Dance To The Rhythm pushes boundaries, seamlessly blending infectious dance grooves (“Dance To The Rhythm” / “Sho Nuff”) with raw blues guitar and powerful lyrics. From the soulful "Soul’ution" to the funky "Hottest Ticket In Town" and the bluesy “Dwell On The Feeling”, "California Chase," the album weaves a rich tapestry of musical styles, reflecting Popovic's masterful versatility. The track “Sisters and Brothers” channels a Steely Dan-like arrangement, while “Hurt So Good” brings a contemporary mainstream flair.
