Spend an unforgettable afternoon and evening with storytellers who know how to spark laughter, stir the imagination, and reveal the experiences that connect us all. Learn the craft, put your name in the hat, compete for the Golden Shovel, or simply enjoy a remarkable lineup of live storytelling. Festival schedule: 3:00–4:15 PM storytelling workshop with Anne Rutherford and Norm Brecke; 4:30–5:15 PM open telling, emceed by John Aubert; 5:30–6:30 PM liar’s contest, emceed by Ed Lewis; 6:30–7:15 PM snack break; 7:15–9:00 PM featured tellers. Featured performers include Norm Brecke and Anne Rutherford, Ed Lewis, Gloria Jones, Manuel Camacho, and John Aubert. The artist and songwriter Michelle will reflect on the experiences she has been through, from the rigid and committed work as a classical violinist and singer during her early days in Northern California, to the happy and festive Celtic music honed in Scotland. From the structured sounds of the classrooms at Berklee School of Music in Boston to the years spent perfecting her storytelling on the stages of the Honky Tonks in Nashville, Michelle has emerged as the professional entertainer guaranteed to please audiences of all ages.
