Michael Weinstock, Neighbor

Michael Weinstock is a former sex crimes prosecutor and longtime volunteer firefighter. He responded on the morning of 9/11 and was personally recognized for heroism, by the President of the United States. He was also recognized by Hillary Clinton, when she visited Ground Zero.

Weinstock is currently a candidate for Congress in New York's Third Congressional District, which includes sections of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Michael Weinstock's life was chronicled in chapter 19, of the book, "9/11 Ordinary People: Extraordinary Heroes" by Colonel Will G. Merrill.

On February 20, 2018, Weinstock was honored by Pope Francis, for his work reuniting Holocaust survivors with their rescuers.
