The Miracle League of Joliet is a non-profit organization providing the opportunity for children and young adults with disabilities, ages 4 to 19, to play organized baseball. Miracle League baseball is played on a custom-designed rubberized turf field which is free from any obstacles. The rules emphasize participation with every player getting a turn “at bat” each inning with a volunteer “buddy” assisting all players, both “at bat” and on the field. All areas of the field, including dugouts and restrooms, are universally accessible. The Miracle League Field is located in Joliet in the confines of Silver cross Field, home of the Joliet Slammers baseball team!
