I am a scientist by training with a love of history, nature, animals, genealogy, and photography. I love to hike. I love to read. And I love learning about less known histories and considering multiple perspectives. I love experiencing history where it happened. I write with the goal of "painting a picture with words" to help others appreciate and experience the history and natural setting around us.
