Morton Grove Historical Museum

Stop by and see our current exhibit featuring bridal gowns and the history of the floral industry in Morton Grove. We have wedding dresses from the 1800’s to the 1950’s on display.&nbsp; The floral exhibit includes local greenhouse histories from the Poehlmann’s to the Lochner’s.
The museum is open the third Sunday of each month 1pm-4pm and during the week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10am – 3pm.

Celebrate creativity in the heart of the community at the Glenview Art League Summer Art Fair, Saturday and Sunday, July 18-19, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Join us for a vibrant day of art, inspiration, and connection as more than 70 talented local and regional artists showcase their work outdoors on the grounds of Attea School at 2500 Chestnut Ave.
Browse a diverse selection of original artwork, including paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fiber arts, mixed media, sculpture, and more. Whether you’re an experienced collector, searching for a unique handmade gift, or simply looking for a fun summer outing, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Now in it’s 72nd year, this Glenview Art League-hosted event is one of the longest running art fairs in Illinois. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet artists, learn about their creative processes, and support the arts in our community. Visitors can explore booths filled with one-of-a-kind pieces, discover new favorite artists, and enjoy delicious food, kids activities, a silent auction to raise funds for youth art programs, and more. This event is usually held at Waukegan and Lake, and is at Attea due to construction.

Kneads & Wants Artisan Bakery and Cafe

Downtown Skokie's favorite four-legged tradition is back! The 2nd Annual Pups &amp; Purrs Pet Picnic takes place Thursday, July 23 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, a family-friendly summer festival benefiting Community Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.).
Bring your dog, your family, and your friends for an evening of great food, live entertainment, pet activities, local vendors, and giveaways. The fun takes place in a dedicated outdoor festival space behind Take Flight Spirits, RJ Breaks, and Kneads &amp; Wants Bakery. The event entrance is through the alley off the Lincoln Avenue parking lot at the head of Warren Street.
There are two easy ways to attend:
Picnic Packs include a picnic-style meal from a Downtown Skokie restaurant, admission for one dog and all accompanying humans, a complimentary Pup Cup, and access to all activities. Choose from fresh salads and shareable sides from Libertad, sandwiches from Kneads &amp; Wants, pizza from Village Inn, flautas, and more.
Pet Passes are perfect for those who already have dinner plans. Each pass includes admission for one dog and all their humans, plus a complimentary Pup Cup. Advance passes are $10 per dog, or $15 at the event.
Want the best seat in the house? Reserve a VIP Picnic Table for six, complete with lemonade or iced tea, a 6-pack of chocolate chip cookies, and a reserved dog water bowl.
Throughout the evening, guests can sip handcrafted cocktails from Take Flight Spirits' outdoor bar, cheer on the puppy soccer action at the Pup Cup, visit the Pup Paint Studio and Pet Selfie Station, enjoy face painting, collect vendor giveaways, and try their luck in the Community Raffle.
Best of all, a portion of every admission and Picnic Pack goes directly to C.A.R.E. to help homeless animals find safe, loving homes.
