Society of St Mary of the Snow, Neighbor

We are the oldest Mutual Aid society in New York. Founded in 1888, we were established to help support the influx of immigrants arriving in Brooklyn from the town of Sanza, Provence of Salerno, Italy.

Our organization honors a centuries-old tradition of celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Snow every year from July 27th - August 5th. We also organize several community service initiatives and hold numerous festivals, celebrations, and community cultural events throughout the year!
