New Jersey Folk Festival is a non-profit organization that hosts a festival on the last Saturday of April, 10am-6pm. Admission is FREE, rain or shine. Hosted on the grounds of the Eagleton Institute on Douglass Campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick. 

Featuring 4 stages of music, dance, workshops and jam sessions. Offer a wide array of food vendors, crafters, a heritage area, children&#39;s activities, pony rides and more!

This year's Metuchen Town Wide Garage Sale&nbsp;is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026 (9am to 4pm), with the rain date the following day. We know this date is not perfect for everyone, but we need to avoid holidays, other Borough events, and ideally pair up FPC's Rummage Sale for maximum attendance at the Garage Sales around the borough.
As in previous years, registration gets your address listed in the online map (along with up to 3 photos), in the printed directory, the official Borough permit, and all the benefits of all the collective advertising.

Approximately one week prior to the event, registrants will receive via email a copy of the Official Borough Permit to post at their location during the sale - and - a copy of the Directory of Sales. A link to an online map will also be provided. The registrant's address (only) will be included in the directory of sales; the name, email, and telephone are required here for our administrative purposes only.
FOTML members current with their annual dues are eligible for a $5 discount on their registration, and registrations for Metuchen Non-Profits are free.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS *Will this be the only Town Wide Garage Sale this year? Yes. *How do I get my refund if I am a FOTML member? It will be refunded once your FOTML membership is confirmed. *Can I join the FOTML at the same time and get the discount? Yes! *What do I do if the registration form isn't working? Make sure you are filling out ALL the required fields, and double-check your credit card number. You may also need to change browsers and check your pop-up blockers. *Can I pay with cash or check? If you can't pay with the credit options on the link, please contact metuchentwgs@gmail.com and arrangements can be made. *Where do I pick up permits? All permits and directories will be Emailed! *Can non-profits register? YES, and they will get their registration refunded in full once confirmed! And special callouts on the map!

All proceeds from this event's registration benefit the Friends of the Metuchen Library (FOTML), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports programming and acquisitions at the Metuchen Library and works to interest the public in library holdings and programming. The FOTML works closely with the Metuchen Public Library to help them offer enhanced programming and materials to patrons.
