Newton PorchFest, Neighbor

PorchFest is an afternoon of free music performed outside of people’s homes. Auburndale is the inaugural village, but we’re hoping the event spreads to all Newton villages. Over 100 cities across the country hold PorchFests. Now Newton is holding one too!

On Saturday, June 2nd from noon to 4 PM, that often underused space, the front porch, (driveways and lawns too!) will become the stage for bands, singers, and instrumentalists. We hope to attract a diverse range of local talent from country to pop, classical, reggae, blues, rock, jazz, Latin, R&B, and more. All musicians, professionals, amateurs, and everything in between, perform voluntarily at a designated time and location. Attendees stroll from venue to venue throughout Auburndale, in order to hear the music of their choice.
