The fourth annual Wellness Day, presented by the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District, will be held in Village Square on Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event provides an opportunity for the community to try out classes from various downtown fitness businesses, including Screaming Pigeon Yoga, X Legion Fitness and Level Up Glen Cove at no cost, while learning about other local entrepreneurs engaged in the health and wellness industry. Leah Bush will return to lead a Pilates class and Living Lotus will close the day with a sound bowl meditation. Vendors on hand include downtown physical therapists Dr. Sheetal Desai and newcomer Briana Caiazzo, both of whom have offices on School Street, Glen Cove Massage, and Gracie Fights Food Noise.
This year, the event coincides with the opening day of the Deep Roots Farmers Market, which is moving from the waterfront to downtown for the season.
“Since 2022, Wellness Day has helped connect residents to our numerous downtown health and fitness businesses, and has given business owners an opportunity to connect as well,” said Jill Nossa, executive director of the Glen Cove Downtown BID. “We’re very excited about having the market downtown, and having Wellness Day kick it off is a perfect fit, as it will provide greater visibility to these businesses.

Our new location offers&nbsp;greater visibility, increased foot traffic, easier accessibility, more&nbsp;parking and an even stronger connection to the local business community.




We&nbsp;are thrilled to bring the market experience directly into the center of&nbsp;our vibrant downtown every Saturday 9am-1pm through November 7th!&nbsp;


To celebrate the opening of our 23-week season and our new home, we will&nbsp;host a special Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Opening Day at 10am.&nbsp;We&nbsp;invite the community, local businesses and elected officials to join us&nbsp;as we launch this exciting new chapter for Deep Roots Farmers Market.




We&nbsp;warmly welcome back our returning vendors whose dedication and quality&nbsp;products have helped make the market such a beloved community&nbsp;destination over the years. We also encourage new vendors to become part&nbsp;of our growing market family.
