Our Mission: The Hamilton‐Wenham Friends of the Arts is a non‐profit organization that supports and advocates for educational fine arts opportunities for all students in the Hamilton‐Wenham Regional School District.  FOTA assists students and arts faculty across the creative disciplines of vocal and instrumental music, theater, and the visual arts through financial support and volunteerism.  The proven value of a strong arts education is our guiding principle.

<a href="https://coastalmassbrewing.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Coastal Mass Brewing</a> will be going all out for the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/share/18A4pMM85X/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Beverly Beer Mile's Spring Fling</a> and you can enjoy your beverages throughout the studio spaces. Food will be available courtesy of <a href="https://www.thelobsterroller.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Lobster Roller</a>.
Park all day for $2 at the MBTA parking garage, across Rantoul Street from Porter Mill.This program is funded in part by a grant from the <a href="https://www.massculturalcouncil.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Beverly Cultural Council</a>,&nbsp;&nbsp;a local agency which is supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Larcom Theatre

North Shore audiences pack the house for Miranda Russell and her extraordinary 6 piece band. A powerful and moving vocalist, Miranda's performance centers on nuanced treatments of an eclectic range of favorites from Cole Porter to Richard Thompson. Critics have routinely praised her dynamic interpretation and delivery of the American Songbook as well as her mastery of contemporary songwriters like Paul Simon and Gillian Welch.

Miranda is considered by critics, audiences, and her fellow musicians to be a moving vocalist and nuance performer, and her concerts center on interpretations of the great songwriters of our day. Her versatility with the works of such luminaries as Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Richard Thompson have become the hallmark of her performances, as well as her haunting rendition of Edith Piaf's La Vie en Rose.

Miranda studied theater at Emerson College in Boston and classical voice performance at Loyola University New Orleans' College of Music. She has performed in various European countries, and closer to home has enjoyed performing in many seasons at Gloucester Stage Company as well as several theaters in the New England area. She enjoyed five successive years of sold-out two-night stints at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, and played to a packed house for several years here at the Larcom Theatre. &nbsp;
Miranda has recorded three albums, including the award-winning lullaby collection All the Pretty Little Horses, and the live double CD Embrace: Live in Rockport, and most recently a compilation of live cuts of audience favorites. She and her husband have two adult children and live in nearby Ipswich, MA where they own and operate Russell Orchards, a 120-acre fruit farm with bakery, winery, and busy retail store.&nbsp;

Featuring live interviews and music from some of its greatest talent. This, combined with historic footage, tells the story of a gritty, yet wonderful city, Boston, Massachusetts.

From Amy Beach’s luminous flute Variations to the autumnal depth of Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet, from Elgar’s intimate Romance for bassoon to the radiant warmth of Florence Price’s Adoration, we trace how far a single melodic line can stretch, and how much feeling a single breath can hold.
Breath and Line continues our multi sensory, accessible series “Notes on Belonging”. As the music unfolds, visual artists respond in real time, tracing the contours and phrasing of the performance. The result is an immersive exploration of breath, movement, and line.
