The best gift anyone can give is the gift of Peace of Mind. In this mortal world of ours, we all know that one day we will progress to the world of spirit and leave behind all of our physical resources and belongings. Those things no longer matter to us, but for our loved ones who remain here on Earth, it can either be a blessing or the biggest mess. It all depends on the planning we do ahead of time. "But I'm not rich and I don't have much." It doesn't matter how much or little you have, probate can turn the smallest list of assets into a nightmare. A checking account, a car, a single valuable piece of jewelry...the state is interested in your property upon your transition from this life and having a will is not enough to keep your assets, big or small, out of probate court.
Then there is the matter of end of life care. Have you thought about how much intervention you want at the end of life? Feeding tubes? Resuscitation? Simply be kept comfortable? If you want to be in the driver seat regarding your care, then those decisions need to be made now while you’re conscious and can take the time for considered thought about these difficult but important matters. A living will is a must have in today’s complex medical environment. On Thursday, November 12 at 7pm, we are offering a FREE seminar with Kathryn Barry, Esq. to show you how to protect your loved ones from the stress of painful and difficult decisions and the potential loss of your property, and much more! To reserve your seat, please RSVP at https://www.1stspiritsalem.org/estate
