Patrick Knowles, Neighbor

Patrick Knowles is a Philadelphia-born journalist currently based in the Bay Area.  While working to get his degree from the UC Santa Cruz journalism program he covered local news as the editor in chief of City on a Hill Press, a features writer for The Santa Cruz Sentinel and Good Times Santa Cruz.

He was the Managing Editor for SOMA Magazine from 2004-2010 where he dedicated his time covering local, national and international arts and culture issues. He served as an Associated Press Stringer for the Northern California Elections Bureau and his writing has appeared in The San Francisco Chronicle, The Bay Area Guardian, The Believer Magazine, Loudfarm.com, Not for Tourists (NFT), Philadelphia City Paper, and Mini International. He plays tenor saxophone, spent his summers traveling across the country when he was a kid and believes that everyone has a story to tell.
