In this lecture, Jess Velona, who served as an appellate law clerk for Ruth Bader Ginsburg, combines personal stories from his time working with RBG with video clips to explore the life and legacy of one of America's most influential Supreme Court justices. Learn how Ginsburg, a quiet and unassuming person, became a pioneer for women in the legal profession and a leading advocate for women's constitutional rights.
The lecture will also examine her nuanced views on Roe v. Wade, her reputation as a moderate, consensus-building federal appellate judge who won near-unanimous support for the Supreme Court, her evolution into the cultural icon known as "Notorious RBG," and the debate surrounding her decision not to retire earlier. Through firsthand insight and historical perspective, discover the many dimensions of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's remarkable career.Offered through The Center for Continuing Education, visit LMCCE.org to learn more and register.

Estate planning is way too important to neglect. Do not trust non-attorneys or online services to handle your estate plan – the consequences may be dire. The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
