I help cities, regions, and fire-related organizations motivate people to make their homes safer from wildfire.  

Despite widespread information about the economic, insurance, and personal losses associated with wildfire, many people are reluctant to take the steps they need to in order to keep their homes and neighborhoods safer.

I use proven behavior change techniques to captivate and motivate residents to make their homes more wildfire resilient.

As the creator of Beautiful Moraga Orinda, a program changing perceptions of what a beautiful community looks like by showcasing neighbor-to-neighbor stories of beautiful, affordable, and replicable fire safe landscaping and home hardening examples, I work with other communities to create "Beautiful" sites and start convincing neighbors to take action.

While the first part of my career focused on launching and building tech products and companies, everything changed for me on the Orange Day in 2020, when the sun never came out due to severe wildfire smoke. Living in one of the higest fire risk areas in the state - and probably the country - I knew that I needed to use my marketing and communications skills to make my family, community, and region safer from wildfire.
