Chatham High School

The Chatham Community Band presents "An American Celebration-250 Years!" concert at the Chatham High School on May 16 at&nbsp;3:30 PM&nbsp;at 255 Lafayette Ave, Chatham, NJ.&nbsp; Come in, sit down and enjoy exciting Americana-themed selections by our live concert band!&nbsp; It will be a memorable afternoon, for sure.&nbsp; This is a great way to kick-off our country's 250th celebration for the rest of the year!
The concert is free (donations are welcome) and the High School is wheel chair accessible.
Funding has been made possible in part by funds from Morris Arts through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Suburban Music Study Club will host a free recital of classical piano music with pianists: Luba Vasilyeva, Olivia Hua, Eric Feng, and Sophia Agranovich on Thursday morning of May 17th at 10:30 a.m. at the Chatham United Methodist Church. Olivia Hua and&nbsp;Eric Feng are winners in the SMSC's 2025 Grace Gimbel Scholarship Competition playing alongside two accomplished pianists, Luba Vasilyeva and Sophia Agranovich. HOLDING&nbsp;LIAT follows the reaction of&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liat_Beinin_Atzili" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Liat Beinin Atzili's </a>family after she and her husband were kidnapped from their home in a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kibbutz" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">kibbutz</a> near <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaza_Strip" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Gaza</a> border during the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_7_attacks" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">October 7 attacks</a>.Liat's parents, Yehuda and Chaya Beinin, deal with their daughter's fate. Alongside many other relatives dissatisfied with the Netanyahu government's disregard of the hostages, Yehuda intensifies his public campaign against the Gaza war, and the inevitability of casuaties among the hostages. Our program will begin with the Oscar-nominated animated short&nbsp;Papillon / Butterfly.
