TheatreWorks New Milford 20 Elm Street Extension, New Milford, CT

Romantics and Theatre Fans, this one is for you!
Looking for a show that will make you laugh, cry, and believe in a little bit of magic? Let’s talk about “Almost, Maine”, a real romantic comedy and one of the most frequently produced and beloved plays in North America!
The show takes place on a cold, clear Friday night in the middle of winter in a mythical, faraway town called “Almost” Maine”. (It’s called "Almost" because the residents never quite got around to getting organized, so it’s not quite a real town!).
As the Northern Lights hover in the sky above, the play takes us through nine different, self-contained stories. In each one, ordinary residents find themselves falling in, out, and all around love in the most unexpected and whimsical ways.
Here is why audiences absolutely fall in love with it:
• The Vibe: It is deeply heartwarming, clever, and funny, with a healthy dose of magical realism. Think of it like a cozy, theatrical version of Love Actually set in a snowy paradise.
• The Magic: Metaphors literally come to life here. Characters actually get bruised by love, carry their broken hearts in paper bags, or physically fall down when falling in love.
• The Heart: It’s a beautiful exploration of the human heart-sometimes quirky, sometimes heartbreaking, but always incredibly relatable.
It’s the ultimate feel-good play that reminds us how love can strike when we least expect it.
